The German coloratura soprano Monika Reinhard graduated from the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz (HfMT) in Cologne. She then joined the Stadttheater Lübeck as a member of the International Opera Elite Studio, earning a master's degree at the Musikhochschule Lübeck in 2012.

Afterwards, Miss Reinhard became part of the Staatstheater Nürnberg's International Opera Studio, before she was employed in the ensemble of the Oldenburgisches Staatstheater for the 2013/14 season.


Additionally, Miss Reinhard has sung with the Ekhof Festival Gotha, the Handel Festival Halle and at the theatres in Lübeck, Münster, Regensburg,  Nürnberg and Cottbus.  


For the 2014/15 season, she joined the ensemble of the Staatstheater Meiningen.


Highlights of the recent seasons include Miss Reinhard's portrayals of the title role in Lucia di Lammermoor, Zerbinetta (Ariadne auf Naxos), Norina (Don Pasquale), Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), Melissa (Amadigi di Gaula), Marie (Ivan IV), Blonde (Abduction from the Seraglio), Olympia (Hoffmanns Erzählungen), Musetta (La Bohème), Adele (Die Fledermaus), Annina (A Night in Venice), Eurydike (Orpheus in the Underworld) and Maria (The Sound of Music).



Miss Reinhard also remains active singing concerts on international stages. Her concert repertoire includes the Bach and Handel oratorios, as well as Lieder by Strauss, Wolf, or Schubert. She is equally at home singing New Music, having performed Ligeti's "Mysteries of the Macabre" at the Staatstheater Meiningen, before celebrating another great success singing this composition at the Theater Chur in 2018.


She has sung with such conductors as Frank Beermann, Marcus Creed, and Peter Schreier.

She has worked with such orchestras as the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie, Kammerphilharmonie Graubünden, Neue Philharmonie Westfalen, Concert Royal Köln and l'arte del mondo.


Her first CD recording, Pasquale Anfossi's La Finta Giardiniera, was published by Deutsche Harmonia Mundi (Sony Music). She sang the role of Serpetta in this production, conducted by Werner Erhardt.


Miss Reinhard has successfully participated in singing competitions. She earned the Köhler-Osbahr-Förderpreis, and was awarded a ''Stiftung Begabtenförderung Cusanuswerk'' as well as a DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst) stipend.  


A close musical collaboration connects her to Prof. Arthur Janzen, Prof. Kai Wessel, Prof. Jan Hammar and KS. Heike Wittlieb.


To further her education, Miss Reinhard has participated in workshops and master classes with Ulrich Rademacher, Thomas Seyboldt, Prof. Karola Theill, Sissel Høyem Aune, and Josef Protschka.
